"The Answer"

    I keep writing,

    hoping an answer falls out.

    Unconsciously,

from my heart to the paper,

but so far I’m in doubt.

    She is so far away,

    and I am so close.

But I’m helpless to reach her,

when I need her the most.

    My words are like water,

    that flow down the drain,

    my promises empty,

    from our previous pain.

I have nothing to give her,

    to show her I’m true.

All I have that’s of value

    is worthless and blue.

I wish I was Prince Charming,

so I’d have an answer to this.

    And I’d awaken my princess

    with one single kiss.

And she'd know that my feelings

are 'til death do we part.

And she’d know she’s the owner

of my soul and my heart.

    As another sun rises,

    another one will be set.

And I’ll keep at this daily,

but I haven't found an answer, yet.
